King/Queen side Castling

On the topic of chess, who likes to castle? I usually use king side castling, even though often it ends up being a suicidal move/regretful mistake.

castling is a good way to get rooks to center columns

Yeah, but if i got my queen down past your rooks, your king is screwed out of running away cuz the pawns are in the way.

I never had myself the chance to use castling to its full potential as I would usually be moving my rook for more of an offensive strategy.
